Police Seek Public's Help in Overnight Crime Activity Investigation
Los Altos, Calif. — October 17, 2023 — The Los Altos Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in gaining additional video footage for a series of crimes and attempted crimes that took place early morning, October 16, between approximately 1:20-4:20 AM.
Initial investigation shows the suspect(s) stealing two vehicles, a 2022 Black Volvo XC90 and a 2018 White Chevrolet Suburban, burglarizing six vehicles, and unsuccessfully attempting to enter homes, garages, and other vehicles. Both stolen vehicles have been recovered.
Residents who live near or in the following neighborhoods are asked to view their home security system for any suspicious activity during the hours stated above:
- 1000 block of Laureles Drive
- 300 block of Lunada Drive
- 400 block of Pine Lane
- 400 block of Patrick Way
- 800 block of Laverne Way
- 300 block of Alicia Way
- 300 block of Alvarado Avenue
- Lyell Street
- S. Gordan Way
