Steps to Obtain a Business License

    • Before signing a lease or contract, verify that your business complies with the zoning requirements for your proposed location.

  • Register a Fictitious Business Name

  • Outdoor Dining and Parklet Program
    • ​​The City of Los Altos offers a program for downtown businesses interested in outdoor dining within the public right-of-way adjacent to their establishments.
    • Program Overview: Businesses can apply to establish outdoor dining areas, which are governed by an annual City Removal & Maintenance Agreement.
