Become a Volunteer
Volunteers make a huge impact by creating community through people, parks, and programs in a variety of fun ways. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age with a parental permission form.
The Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for individuals, groups, and family volunteers on a one-time or recurring basis.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
- Special Events, which occur on a monthly or seasonal basis.
- Examples include: Open House, Spring Egg Hunt, Family Fun Days, Summer Concert Series, Glorious 4th, Movie Night
- Adult 50+ Program
- Examples of assistance needed: Help with monthly lunch, serving coffee, set up and clean up for special events, welcoming participants, hosting games, various administrative & analytical work as directed.
- Los Altos Community Center: Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-2 PM
- Grant Park: Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 AM-2 PM
- Handing Out Marketing Materials for Special Events and Upcoming Programs
- Teen Center (Assist in Drop-In Teen Program at Los Altos Community Center: Monday-Friday 3 PM-6PM)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Drop-In Pickleball Program
- Assistance is needed on Monday & Wednesday Evenings from 5:45 - 9:45 PM at Egan Gym
- Must be at least 18 years of age
