Los Altos Police Press Release: Death Investigation Update #2

Los Altos, Calif. — January 29, 2024 — The Los Altos Police Department and the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the deaths of two adults whose bodies were found Tuesday, January 16, at approximately 1:20 PM, during a welfare check. 

Investigators can confirm the two deceased individuals are Los Altos residents Steven Hooper (74-year-old male) and Chris Cryer (66-year-old female). The cause of death is still being investigated, pending toxicology reports.
