Learn how to reduce wildfire risk and better prepare your family and your home with this free workshop from Santa Clara County Fire Department.
Santa Clara County Fire Department, in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, will present Wildfire Preparedness Community Meetings at several locations and dates in Santa Clara County. These free workshops will teach you how to reduce wildfire risk and to better prepare your family and your home through the techniques of Ready, Set, Go:
- Ready: take steps in and around home that will slow or stop the spread of wildfire, and increase the chances of your home surviving a wildfire
- Set: prepare your family’s action plan to help you survive wildfires and other disasters, be ready to evacuation, and have a family communication plan
- Go: stay informed of emergency situations, and make your family’s evacuation plan to have the best chance of survival in a wildfire.
Locally, the Wildfire Preparedness Community Meetings will be presented on three dates:
- Tuesday, April 16, 2019 (in partnership with the Los Altos Police Department)
