Cal Water Update: August Water Conservation for Los Altos District

Cal Water is pleased to share with you the following information about the water conservation efforts of customers in the Los Altos District, which encompasses the City of Los Altos.

As required by the emergency regulations adopted by the State Water Resources Control Board (Board), Cal Water reports monthly potable water production data to the Board by the 15th of each month. This data helps the state and Cal Water monitor progress towards meeting the Governor’s water conservation mandates established by his April 1st executive order.

August Water Conservation Numbers

The Board has mandated that Cal Water’s Los Altos District reduce its water use by 32% by February 2016. For the month of July, Cal Water’s Los Altos District reduced its water use by 39% when compared to August of 2013.
