Annual Street Resurfacing Overlay Project to Enhance Pavement Conditions

Updated — August 23, 2024 — The city of Los Altos is nearing completion of the annual street resurfacing overlay project. 

To facilitate the safe and efficient application of the slurry seal, the remaining street segments will be closed to through traffic* and parking from 8 AM-5 PM. Affected residents will receive a 72-hour notice detailing the specific no-parking period for their street. Please note that any vehicles or trailers parked within the designated construction zones during these hours will be towed.

Los Altos, Calif. — July 20, 2024 — The city of Los Altos is set to start its annual street resurfacing overlay project the week of July 29. This project will address streets with lower Pavement Condition Index scores between 40-70, aiming to improve the overall quality and longevity of the City's roadways. 

The project, which is expected to take approximately 45 days to complete, will impact multiple streets throughout Los Altos.

During this time, temporary parking restrictions will be enforced within construction zones. Residents will receive a 72-hour notice prior to work commencing on their street, detailing the no-parking period. To ensure the safety and efficiency of the work, vehicles parked within these zones will be towed.
