Pickleball Rules and Code of Conduct

Court Usage Rules

  • Four on, four off. While players are waiting, all four players must rotate off. If the waiting players are less than four, Winner of the on-court players play.
  • Play on game to 11 points, win by 2, then rotate off the court.
  • Warmups are allowed, but limited to three minutes.
  • No drilling while players are waiting.
  • Private, professional coaching not allowed.
  • No rolling back the score in order to prolong time on the court.
  • Waiting players are responsible for monitoring the score of the on-court players in order to know when to rightfully take the court.

Next Up Queue

  • No double paddling. Do not place an extra paddle in the queue to save your spot while you are already on the court or to save a spot for a friend who you are waiting to play with.
  • If you are waiting to play with certain players who are currently playing, do not place your paddle in the queue. Once the player(s) come off the court, then place your paddles together in the queue.
  • No moving other player's paddles without that player's permission.
  • If you don't have a paddle in the next up queue, you are deemed as sitting out and not playing.

Sportsmanship and Code of Conduct

  • Players are to play under the official USA Pickleball rules. See rules here.
  • Give the benefit of doubt to in line calls. When in doubt, call the ball "in."
  • Players are to comply with all house rules for court usage and next up queue.
  • There is zero tolerance of conduct that is deemed bullying, harassing, or intimidating.
  • Please respect all City staff and players.
