Los Altos Youth Commission Weekly Challenges
The Los Altos Youth Commission has created weekly challenges and activities for you to do while sheltering-in-place. Week 1 Challenge
Film a vlog of your daily life, then upload it to Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube.

Week 2 Challenges
The challenges for week two will be about learning how we can help care for our environment. There will be four daring challenges in this series. We challenge you to participate in them all!
Challenge #1 - Go meatless for a meal to improve your health and the health of the planet. Youth Commissioner Boladale has put together some easy recipes to create in order to complete this challenge. View Boladale's meatless recipes here.
Challenge #2 - Start a new healthy hobby, such as yoga, buying recycled goods, digital reading, reusing household items, making masks for the community, etc.
Challenge #3 - Plant your own mini garden. Follow Youth Commissioner Jessica's tips on growing green onions and tomatoes. View her instructions here.
Challenge #4 - What's your water footprint? Find out how to calculate your water use and learn ways to save water by clicking here.

Week 3 Challenge
This week, Commissioners Tom and Serra will be providing us with their best cooking specialties. From desserts to savory snacks, we will see the power of baking and cooking taken to the next level!
YOUR CHALLENGE THIS WEEK: Replicate Serra or Tom's recipes or make your favorite recipe. Photograph your finished dish and tag us at #LosAltosFunatHome so we can see your tasty creation!

Week 4 Challenge:
This week, the Youth Commission will be leading an art showcase titled "Heart of Los Altos" to highlight our community’s talent.
Whether you paint, draw, photograph, or do any other type of art activity, we want you to participate!
THEME: Community
PROMPT: Create an art piece that represents the Los Altos community and what it means to you. Visualize and display your Los Altos experience through your artwork.
Submit your artwork by tagging us @LosAltosRec and #LosAltosFunatHome for a chance to be showcased on our social media!
