Counselors in Training Program (CIT)
Calling all 13-15 year olds!
The city of Los Altos Parks & Recreation department welcomes teens ages 13-15 to apply to be a 2024 Counselor in Training (CIT) at Redwood Grove Summer Camp. See more information about Redwood Grove Nature Preserve at https://www.losaltosca.gov/recreation/page/redwood-grove-nature-preserve.
What is a Counselor in Training (CIT)?
Teens (ages 13-15) work in a low-pressure leadership role to support Recreation Leaders in the implementation of camp activities, songs, and games. First hand work experience is gained as CIT candidates journey through two training sessions and then become a CIT to our Redwood Grove campers. No experience with children is needed. Each one-week Redwood Grove CIT session provides teens with the opportunity to practice what they have learned in a natural, active, fun outdoor environment. Elevate your job skills while having fun and making a difference in the lives of campers. Apply today!
