25+ Restaurants Prepare for Los Altos Restaurant Takeout Week
Los Altos, Calif. — January 19, 2021 —The City, alongside the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Altos Village Association (LAVA), are delighted to introduce Los Altos Restaurant Takeout Week.
Starting this Friday, January 22, Los Altos chefs are preparing unique creations so residents can pick up and enjoy their favorites from home. Over 25 establishments will offer specials that range from discounted menu items to prix fixe menu options, exclusive meal bundles, and never-before-tasted dishes.
“The City is excited to see our restaurants come together to host a Restaurant Takeout Week,” said Mayor Neysa Fligor. “I got a sneak peek at some of the offers, and let’s just say my kids have already given me their orders. I encourage all residents to participate in any way that they can, while still following the County and State COVID-19 guidance and orders.”
With the Stay Home Order just recently extended by the State, the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, LAVA, and City staff worked quickly to implement Los Altos Restaurant Takeout Week, hoping to drive more excitement around ordering ‘to-go’ options.
“We're optimistic this program will give restaurants the extra push they need to survive until outdoor dining is allowed to resume,” said Anthony Carnesecca, Economic Development Coordinator.
Mayor Neysa Fligor expressed hope in the possibility that the next restaurant week event will be celebrated in-person and recognized that, to get to that point, we all have to do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep each other safe.
