Los Altos Senior Center Receives $10k Donation

At the January 28, 2014 City Council Meeting, the Sereno Group of Los Altos presented a check in the amount of $10,372.59 to benefit the Los Altos Senior Center.

In an effort to support the community, the Sereno Group has created a 1% for Good Campaign.  As part of this community focused campaign, the Sereno Group has pledged to give 1% of their gross commissions to a charitable or community-minded group that makes a positive impact in the community.  A separate group is chosen to receive the charitable donation each quarter.

The Los Altos Senior Center was chosen as a beneficiary of the 1% for Good Campaign after members of the Sereno Group Los Altos Office visited the Senior Center this past summer.  The Sereno Group recognized that their financial assistance would have a lasting positive impact on the Senior Center and the residents it serves.  In addition to some previously identified areas for spending, the Sereno Group will be working with staff to have a new bench installed in front of the Senior Center.
