City of Los Altos Issues RFP for Design and Community Outreach Services for Potential Downtown Park

Los Altos, Calif. — November 9, 2024 — The city of Los Altos is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide design and community outreach services for a potential new park in downtown Los Altos. The proposed park would be located on the site of the existing Parking Plazas 1 and 2 and include at least two levels of underground parking.

The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting community outreach to gather input on desired park features, developing conceptual drawings and plans based on that input, and providing cost estimates for the project.

The Request for Proposals is available on the City's website at bids.losaltosca.gov. Proposals are due by Tuesday, December 3, at 3 PM.

This project builds upon the community-informed Downtown Vision Plan adopted by the City Council in 2018, aiming to create a vibrant and welcoming public space in downtown Los Altos that enhances the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
