Tennis Prime Time Scheduling
All classes are scheduled around the “Prime Time Policy” which schedules the bulk of City programs around the most popular times for residents. To determine Prime Time, the City of Los Altos' courts were tracked by the hour to identify the most popular times the courts were used and Prime Time hours were established to avoid those times.
Weekday Prime Time in Los Altos during the fall/winter/spring is Park Opening to 11:00 am and from 6:00 pm to Park Close. During the hot summer months, Prime Time runs from Park Opening to 10:00 am and begins again at 6:00 pm to Park Close. Weekends follow a different schedule as detailed below.
Weekend Lessons in Los Altos are only conducted at Rosita, Marymeade, and Montclaire Parks and at Los Altos High School. McKenzie Park is never used for weekend lessons. During Prime Time at Rosita & Marymeade, only one court is used by the City programs and two courts are kept open. Marymeade is only used for individual lessons, no group lessons. At parks with only two courts, no lessons are conducted at all during Prime Time on the weekends.
