Friday, December 2, 2016: Staff is reviewing the 100% design package for crosswalk improvements at University Avenue at W. Edith Avenue. The goal of this project is to install a new continental crosswalk, an enhanced electronic pedestrian crossing device, a bulb-out to shorten the crossing distance and improve pedestrian visibility, and additional signage to improve safety for children walking to Gardner Bullis Elementary School. Staff anticipates advertising for bids in early January 2017.

Friday, January 13, 2017: Staff is reviewing 35% design plans for crosswalk improvements at the intersection of University Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. The improvements consist of a raised crosswalk, illuminated enhanced crossing devices, striping and signage. Staff anticipates presenting the 35% design plans to the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Commission for comments at their January 25, 2017 meeting.
