Tiny Tots Tipster: Summertime Fun!

Hello sunshine . . . hello summer!

Here are some fun activities to keep the kids entertained and active. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Crafts and Cooking: Sponge painting activities: paint watermelons or ice cream cones Make “sand” playdough and pretend you’re at the beach. When it’s too hot . . . try painting with frozen paint pops! These marshmallow sushi treats are too cute to eat!	Printables: I spy some summer fun….with these “find and color” sheets Get a pen pal! A neighbor, school friend, relative? It’s such fun to post and receive mail! Writing practice is a bonus too. If your child is too young to write, have them dictate to you and sneak in some questions like “I wonder what letter that word starts with?” Use these cute note cards to get started. They can design a postcard. Print these summer themed coloring pages and break out the crayons, markers, or colored pencils

The possibilities are endless….Line up the trucks for a toddler car wash, add some mud and hot wheels track for even more fun, or have the kids wash your car. . . fun ideas for a hot day! Paint with WATER! Use buckets and brushes for house painting and just add water! Got sidewalk chalk? Find ALL the sidewalk chalk ideas for kids in one spot . . . 101 of them to be exact!	Movement Water balloon pinata . . . some super cool fun! Try an ABC sidewalk chalk hop and a 1-2-3 number line jump . . . to sneak a little learning in! Get your body moving with Koo Koo Kangaroo! Got Spotify? Bust a move to the “Best Songs for Kids 2020” playlist (or you can ask Alexa, but she will need to be told each song’s title).
