“New 2021 Electrification Reach Codes are in effect as of January 23, 2021"

All new buildings submitted on or after January 23, 2021 must comply with the new Reach Codes.

The following detailed guidelines and application are to be used for all residential additions and new single family dwellings:

Smaller interior remodels for kitchens and bathrooms should use the guidelines and application below:

Residential Construction Hours

Per Ordinance No. 6.16.070, residential construction hours are restricted in the City of Los Altos. Please note allowable construction hours below:

• Monday through Friday: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM to 3 PM

Construction is not allowed on Sunday or the following City observed holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).
