Commercial Construction

The commercial construction submittal requirements and application should be used for all new commercial structures, additions to existing structures, tenant improvements and alterations as well as multi-family projects.

The Planning Division must sign-off on all commercial projects prior to submitting your plans to the Building Division.

THE LOS ALTOS MUNICIPAL CODE WILL REQUIRE NEW RECYCLING DOCUMENTATION

Commercial Construction Hours

Per Ordinance No. 6.16.070, commercial construction hours are restricted in the City of Los Altos. Please note allowable construction hours below:

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Construction is not allowed on Sunday or the following City observed holidays (New Year's Day,  Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
